India Post Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Recruitment 2026: Circle Wise Vacancies OUT, Total 23,757 Posts

Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications, Government of India ने Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) Online Engagement Schedule-II, July-2026 के लिए notification जारी किया है। इस recruitment के तहत Branch Postmaster (BPM), Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM) और Dak Sevak के कुल 23,757 vacant posts को भरने के लिए eligible candidates से online applications आमंत्रित किए गए हैं। Recruitment के लिए notification number 17-12/2026-GDS है। Vacancies अलग-अलग Postal Circles और Divisions में उपलब्ध हैं तथा circle-wise और category-wise vacancy details जारी की गई हैं।

इस recruitment में One-Time Registration 31 August 2026 से 19 September 2026 तक किया जा सकता है। Online application और fee payment की प्रक्रिया 02 September 2026 से 21 September 2026, शाम 05:00 बजे तक चलेगी। इसके बाद 23 और 24 September 2026 को registration/application में correction की सुविधा दी जाएगी। Candidates को केवल online mode में application submit करनी होगी। एक candidate के लिए केवल एक registration की अनुमति है और duplicate/multiple registration या application पाए जाने पर candidature cancel की जा सकती है।

GDS recruitment के लिए minimum educational qualification 10th Standard pass है। Candidate के 10th में Mathematics और English में passing marks होने चाहिए तथा जिस Postal Circle में post के लिए apply किया जा रहा है, उसकी prescribed local language कम से कम 10th standard तक पढ़ी हुई होनी चाहिए। इसके अलावा computer knowledge, cycling knowledge और adequate means of livelihood भी prescribed हैं।

Age limit 18 से 40 years है। Age application की closing date के आधार पर निर्धारित होगी। SC/ST candidates को 5 years, OBC candidates को 3 years और PwBD candidates को applicable rules के अनुसार upper-age relaxation मिलेगी। EWS candidates के लिए upper-age relaxation नहीं है।

GDS posts regular Central Government employee posts के समान नहीं हैं। GDSs के service conditions Gramin Dak Sevaks (Conduct and Engagement) Rules, 2020 के अनुसार governed होते हैं। BPM, ABPM और Dak Sevak के लिए अलग-अलग duties निर्धारित हैं। BPM को Branch Post Office की day-to-day operations संभालनी होती हैं, जबकि ABPM और Dak Sevak postal operations, mail delivery, stamps/stationery तथा India Post Payments Bank से संबंधित कार्य करते हैं।

Selection में कोई सामान्य written examination नहीं है। Candidates को 10th standard के marks के आधार पर system-generated merit list के माध्यम से shortlist किया जाएगा। इसके बाद Document Verification और Medical Examination की प्रक्रिया होगी। GDS engagement के लिए merit percentage को 4 decimal places तक तैयार किया जाएगा।
